AquaStretch™
What is AquaStretch™?
AquaStretch™ is an aquatic myofascial release technique performed in warm, shallow water. It is designed to release fascial adhesions—areas where connective tissue has become restricted—which can limit flexibility, reduce mobility, and contribute to pain.
The buoyancy of water supports the body and allows it to move in ways that are not possible on land which aid in the identification and addressing of any restriction or pain. With targeted pressure on areas of fascial restriction and supported stretches release is achieved.
During some stretches, ankle weights may be used to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment—one of the features that makes AquaStretch™ different from many other stretching techniques.
